In many competition events at least one tow hook is required at both the front and rear of the car. If you are planning on running an autocross, track day, or racing event be sure to check the rules carefully for this requirement. Tow hooks do not add much weight to your car but when mounted properly can support the weight of the car even while being towed up steep hills. If you only want to run your Datsun Truck tow hooks during competition, simply undo a few bolts and your car will be returned to its stock look.
