» WHY TO BUY?
It is crucial to keep your engine at optimal temperature. If your motor stays too cold it will operate inefficiently and your heater will function poorly, but if it gets too hot your motor can be severely damaged. The job of Tahoe thermostats is to regulate engine temperature. While factory Tahoe thermostats usually work well, they are a common wear and tear item that will fail over time. Here at Andy's Auto Sport we have a full selection of replacement Tahoe thermostats for you to choose from. Available in a host of different temperature ranges thermostats are very reasonably priced, and you are sure to find the perfect unit for your application in our lineup.
» DID YOU KNOW?
A thermostat is a cleverly designed device. It is essentially a temperature sensitive valve. When your engine is cold the valve stays shut, keeping the coolant circulating in the motor so that it heats up quickly. But when the engine temperature reaches the thermostats preset level, the valve opens allowing coolant to circulate through the radiator to prevent overheating. It is possible to change to a higher or lower temperature Tahoe thermostat depending on your requirements. If you want more heat from your heater, a higher temperature thermostat is often a great way to go. However if you want to reduce the chances of overheating in hot climates, running a lower temperature thermostat is preferable.
