The theory behind a stroker kit is quite simple. An engine's power is largely determined by the volume of air it moves in and out. The stroke of the crankshaft determines how far up and down the piston travels, and thus controls the volume of air moved. By increasing the stroke of the crankshaft you increase the overall displacement of the motor and the volume of air that it can move. This means more power.
