What are CB radios? Why buy them?
CB Radios are a form of wireless radio communication commonly used in SUVs, trucks, boats and RVs. Also known as the Citizen?s Band, CBs became popular in the 1970s when truckers used them to communicate on the open road, often using unique jargon and taking on colorful names called ?handles?. Using a simple hand held or portable radio and a small antenna, CBs are capable of transmitting short distances and can be tuned to several different frequencies in the 27 MHz band to help avoid static and other radio traffic.
