About this Manufacturer:
Advanced Flow Engineering, Inc. (AFE) produces high flow, high performance air filters & intake systems for the automotive industry. Founded in April, 1999, aFe was created to address an obvious need in the automotive aftermarket industry: a lack of choice for a high performance aftermarket air filter.

AFE is a team of engineers, machinists, production people who believe in the product they design. They each have years of experience and together work to ensure that they have the best product on the market. Their purpose is not just to be another vendor that offers air filters, and to pay attention to those finer details that set an AFE filter and intake apart from the competition.

Features of AFE filters include:
Pliable polyurethane seal
Deepest pleats in the industry
Washable/Re-usable cotton gauze material
Tight seal without gaskets or sealants
Withstands extreme temperatures for extended service life
Large filtration area for more airflow
The last filter you will buy for your vehicle...

Frequently Asked Questions
What does an air filter do? Why purchase one?
An air filter protects against debris from getting into your engine. The factory air filter on your truck is very restrictive, and buying an performance filter will generally help improve throttle response and add a pleasing induction sound to the engine under acceleration. An air filter can also significantly clean up the under-hood appearance of your truck and make it easier to see and access components of your engine bay.

How do you install an air filter?
It depends on what type of truck you have and what type of air filter you get. A drop-in air filter is installed by opening up your stock air box, pulling out your factory paper filter and replacing it with the new high flow unit. If you opt for the open-element air filter, then your whole air box should be removed and replaced with the new filter. If the filter is universal (not vehicle-specific), slight modifications using reducers and couplers may be needed depending on the size of the filter and intake hosing.
