Lowering Springs on Andy's Auto Sport TV!

Check out this episode of Andy's Auto Sport TV where we run down all the basics of lowering springs. We explain what you need to know in order to make an educated purchasing decision about which springs to buy from Andy's and about what else you might need to go with them. Enjoy!

Comparison: Lowering Springs versus Coilovers

We made a video explaining the key differences between springs and coilovers. The biggest difference is that one is adjustable and one is not, but we show exmaples of both and the types of varieties you can expect with both. If you're on the fence about whether to get springs or coilovers, then you should definitely check out this video!

 » WHY TO BUY?
As automotive enthusiasts, we think that there's nothing cooler than an altitude adjustment. Installing a set of 850 lowering springs will not only bring your ride down to a more respectable level, but it can make it handle the curves better as well. Swapping out your 850 springs for a set of lowering springs is an inexpensive way to drastically change the look and driving characteristics of your ride for the better, and can be done in a short afternoon if you're comfortable working on your vehicle.
 » DID YOU KNOW?
Lowering springs are best matched with a set of 850 performance shocks/struts that will accommodate your new lower ride height, but if you're on a tight budget your stock 850 shocks will work temporarily until you can upgrade; that is, if you don't mind a slightly bumpier ride in the meantime. Some manufacturers offer more than one model of 850 lowering springs depending on how low you want to go or how aggressive you want the spring rate to be, so be sure to order accordingly. Going too low with your 850 suspension probably won't yield the best performance results, so unless it's a show vehicle or a cruiser, you might want to stick with a milder drop.
