  Why buy a seat harness?  
  A seat harness is another word for a seat belt. But seat harnesses are generally designed with high-performance racing in mind. The seat belt that comes factory on your car is not designed for super high-speed encounters per se; rather it's designed for normal driving conditions. If you're at the race track, you want to be as safe as possible driving at super high speeds. Having a 4-point or 5-point race seat harness can be the difference in protecting your life!
