  WASTEGATES
What is a wastegate? Why buy a wastegate?
A wastegate regulates boost by allowing excess exhaust pressure to bleed off. Wastegates generally come in two different types. The first is an internal wastegate, which is controlled by a wastegate actuator and bleeds directly into the exhaust system. An external wastegate is controlled by a boost controller and can be directed to bleed either into the exhaust system or directly into the atmosphere. It’s mounted wherever there’s space for it. External wastegates can handle more boost, but can be too big to fit in the space next to the turbo.

How do you install a wastegate?
Wategates are mounted onto the turbo manifold by using a flange. Basic bolting of it is needed for installation.

Which brand is dependable for wastegates?
GReddy and HKS carry external wastegates for all turbocharger applications. One of the most important components in a well-designed turbocharged engine is the wastegate. GReddy external wategates are made from the highest quality materials to assure both stability and durability during boost control.
