AIRAID® PRE-FILTERS are designed to provide extreme protection through maximum filtration. They are manufactured from durable polyester material. This unique material contains uniform micron openings that will filter our debris .005 and larger. Also, they are designed to be water resistant for added protection. Dyno and flow-bench testing has shown that there is no significant loss in horsepower or airflow from the use of this product. To clean, simply wash with soap and water then let air dry.

Since cold air intakes in particular have air filters that are so close to the ground, they can be prone to sucking in water if you are driving in wet conditions. We sell water guards you can buy and put on the intake to protect against that. Also, there are heat shields available, where upon installation to your intake the heat shield draws some heat from the air allowing a lower temperature air into the intake (lower temperature air is denser, and creates more horsepower when it goes through the intake).
