It ranks among the best performance parts companies alongside Greddy and HKS. An international network of tuning shops and consumers provides a steady flow of incoming information that continuously fuels the engineers at A'PEX. Championship wins and racing feedback can be seen reflected throughout the product lineup.

In response to increasing emissions and environmental issues, A'PEX has embraced the technological fight to create clean burning technologies for everyday automotive use. Their ability to produce the next generation racing engines and tuning cars relies on the ability to analyze and conquer today's emissions problems. Apex's expansion into Diesel Particulate Filter systems has won acclaim in Japan. A'PEX DPF systems are now standard on public diesel buses all across the metropolitan Tokyo area as well as on a whole generation of commercial diesel trucks. High performance catalytic converters are one of the new street products born from this division.
The A'PEX group of companies will continue to grow with motorsports and the international street tuning culture as its core. Countless technologies and groundbreaking innovations have been recognized through the one passion that brought this all together:

 Frequently Asked Questions

What is a wastegate? Why buy a wastegate?
A wastegate regulates boost by allowing excess exhaust pressure to bleed off. Wastegates generally come in two different types. The first is an internal wastegate, which is controlled by a wastegate actuator and bleeds directly into the exhaust system. An external wastegate is controlled by a boost controller and can be directed to bleed either into the exhaust system or directly into the atmosphere. It's mounted wherever there's space for it. External wastegates can handle more boost, but can be too big to fit in the space next to the turbo.

How do you install a wastegate?
Wategates are mounted onto the turbo manifold by using a flange. Basic bolting of it is needed for installation.
