  What do bed cap do? Why purchase them?  
  Bed caps, also referred to as bed rail protectors, are installed to protect your bed rails and tailgate from dings, nicks and scratches, and also to give a nice custom look to your truck. Many are available in rugged diamond plate textured plastic material or ABS plastic, and offer a stylish upgrade to the look of your truck's bed. Aftermarket bed rail protectors generally offer better coverage than factory OEM protectors.  
     
  How do you install bed protectors?  
  Bed protectors are extremely easy to install and no tools are required! Most come with installation hardware, and if not then you can purchase 3M double-sided tape to finish the job.
