What is a breather tank? Why buy one?
A breather tank is also commonly known as an overflow tank or catch can. These tanks are designed to catch the excess fluids and vapors that are sometimes spewed out of your engine. Most commonly breather tanks are used to catch oil that vents out the top of your motor due to crankcase pressure. However breather tanks are also available for radiators which sometimes spit out excess coolant when temperatures and pressures get high.
