About this Manufacturer:
Bassani was started in 1969 by Darryl Bassani. Over the years, the Bassani team learned what works and what doesn't on just about every engine type with just about every bore and stroke ratio. They learned how to make maximum horsepower over a broad rpm range without sacrificing torque or making excessive noise. They also perfected the art of fit and cosmetic appearance (Bassani started off as a motorcyle exhaust manufacturer, and are pros at making exhausts look great for all eyes to see).

Brian Myers of Anderson Ford Motorsport uses Bassani's production long tube headers and x-pipe on his Mustang and ran a 9.839 second quarter mile at 139 mph at the 16th annual Ford Motorsport Nationals.

Ford Motor Company's SVT division contacted Bassani during the pre-production phase of the Cobra R project, and as a result every Cobra R is delivered from the factory with the Bassanie X-pipe style cat pipe.

Toyota Racing Development (TRD) found in recent tests of aftermarket cat back systems that the 4.7L V8 Toyota Tundra got the most horsepower gain from the Bassani system compared to every other system tested.

 Frequently Asked Questions

What does an ehaust system do? Why buy an exhaust system?
A performance exhaust system is used to increase horsepower for your truck by allowing exhaust gases to pass through your exhaust system with less backpressure and less resistance. Larger-diameter piping is normally used, depending on the application, in order to gain more horsepower and torque levels throughout the power band. A performance exhaust system can be the most cost-effective modification you can do to get more horsepower out of your car, not to mention that it will give your truck a deeper more aggressive sound. And depending on the brand, performance exhaust systems normally include gorgeous new mufflers that add a great appearance to your truck.

What exactly does "cat-back" mean when people say "cat-back exhaust"?
Many performance exhaust systems are also referred to as cat-back exhausts. Cat-back means that the exhaust piping starts from your catalytic converter and runs back all the way to the exhaust tip(s).

How do you install an exhaust system?
Exhaust systems are installed using the supplied hardware, which includes gaskets and high grade bolts. This is truly a bolt-on procedure and most exhaust systems are an exact fit with no modifications needed. For this reason, getting a performance exhaust system is normally considered one of the easiest ways to gain noticeable horsepower for your truck.
