A timing belt (also known as a timing chain or cam belt) is a part of an internal combustion engine that controls the timing of the engines' valves and camshafts. Factory timing belts get worn over time and should be replaced with high performance units. High performance units feature better durability, slip resistance and abrasion resistance than stock belts.

Timing belts should be left to the pros. Removal of your valve cover will need to take place. The engine should be timed after installation to make sure it's timed correctly, if not you can bend your valves.
