What is a track bar? Why buy one?
The track bar is a crucial part of the suspension that locates the axle and prevents it from moving laterally, but still lets the suspension move up and down freely. This is important when it comes to handling dynamics as it keeps the wheels in line and still lets the rest of the suspension do its job. A worn out or damaged track bar can cause major suspension issues from premature tire wear to dangerous handling characteristics. Fortunately there are brand new replacement track bars that can get your ride back into shape. In addition if you have lifted your truck you may require a special track bar or new brackets to achieve the correct geometry.
